Patrick Decrock holds a PhD in Science (Physics, KULeuven).
Patrick worked for 10 years in research (Nuclear Physics) from 1988 to 1998, including more than two years in USA (Argonne National Laboratory). Thereafter, Patrick joined a Belgian high-tech company in 1998, active in the field of medical devices, particle accelerators and instrumentation for radiation detection. During a period of 10 years, from 1998 to 2008, Patrick executed various R&D positions related to systems engineering and R&D project management.
In 2008 Patrick entered the field of IP. Working first in industry as an in-house patent portfolio manager until 2018 and working since 2016 as an independent consultant.
As part of the IPLodge team, Patrick assists clients in patent cases pertaining to applied physics and related fields.
Qualifications
Patrick is a registered European and Belgian Patent Attorney since respectively 2012 and 2013.
